kinda like falling in love again…
..being back in the gi after these 2 plus months of nogi training, I feel like I aint enjoying it as much as I was previously. My theory is, I have put my gi game in the back of my mind during the nogi stuff, so now it takes some getting used to, plus my training partners have been in the gi the entire time getting better which is awesome. I equat the feeling to when I decided I wanted to go hard at nogi, and I had to completely discover my nogi game. This time I just have to re-discover the things that I like. So right now, I am a youtube geek watching some of my old fights, and some of my favorite fighters to see what I enjoyed and not so much.
Of course this is all mostly mental and I just have to get out of my own way and let the game come to me. But damn, does training gi make you sore. And definitely the grips are tough.
Two weeks until I am back to my old ways in the gi! Gotta get ready for the 2012 gi season!
