4 Days...The war on the mat..
…has been ridiculous. I was really inspired by how Marcelo Garcia brought into focus how often he would train before tournaments. He would purposely try to break his training record. Meaning if he trained X amount of hours for the Pan-Ams, then he would train way more then that for the Mundials for instance. And im approaching my training in that same way. Today alone i put in 8+ hours on...

9 Days to go..priorities
The last few days have been great! I’m still sparring hard and will continue to do so until I am 2 full days out from the tournament. I’m feeling like I’m zoning in on everything im good at in the practices, and the new drilling system I picked up recently has been the thing for maximizing my growth in all areas. But when we talk about the top of jiu-jitsu fighters like Master Lloyd Irvin, Danny Ives, Julius Parks, Mike Fowler, Ryan Hall to name the guys I have had the pleasure of sparring with and talking with briefly about jiu-jitsu it has definitely made me feel like i have so much work to do. Im learning that wrestling is super...

Down in Maryland!!!
Me and Micro drove down to Maryland on Tuesday night, and it took us about 6 hours. We get to stay with Danny Ives over the course of a week! So basically my whole day has been filled with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! In the morning I trained at Team Lloyd Irvin in Camp Springs, MD and it was like a dream come true! I mean in the past i had been seeing this place in videos and always imagined training...
Injury week...
So it is 2010 now and I got in this new year barely intact! Let me first say, that everything up until Wednesday went according to how I wanted it to go, meaning training was great, weight was good. And then Wednesday happend. While I was at my Manfredo’s gym with the Tri-Force guys trying to get my feet wet with boxing, I tweaked the hell out of my neck going for an arm bar transition I...
